Mega super star, Mr Yukay who released his latest body of worked titled, Super Vibes EP on 6th August has officially made them available online for free download, after presenting the digital platform streaming links.
Mr Yukay has been known for his unique creativity and versatility. Just when we thought that’s all, he made an addition to his title; the best R&B Pop Artiste to emerge from the Igede speaking tribe of Benue State, following the 100% acceptance of his latest body of work. With the release of Super Vibes EP, it has been made clear that his deliberate change of name from Befelow Uk to Mr Yukay has an undertone which is made known now.
Super Vibes EP is not just a classic work, it’s a body of work that everyone can relate to. From Happy Dance, to Funday, Benlow; there’s a similarity in their lyrics and the message passed, which we observe is a deliberate act.
✓Why in the first place would you allow someone to determine why you should be happy? It’s a rhetorical question that the Focuz crooner is asking everyone in the first track; Happy Dance.
✓Why don’t you choose a Funday when you should enjoy yourself to the fullest without a disturbance from anyone? It’s the second rhetorical question in the track 2 of the EP; Funday.
✓Don’t you know that the highest that can be given to you is “After you go, na silent” after you are gone? What are you doing to define your purpose in life while you are still alive? Is a good question the Super Star is asking in Benlow, track 4 of the EP.
My Onyeoma, Come and My Air are love songs that are totally irresistible to the ear. While listening to Mr Air, you would think it’s the latest song of the legendary Joe that sang “I Wanna Know”. In the song, Mr Yukay thinks his life is worthless without his Air, who is the woman of his life. He compares his life to that of a shark fish, who can’t live on the ground, but inside a big ocean. Not living with his love, in this case is tantamount to living on the ground and survival is definitely not certain.
In Come, he paints a crazy scenario of two lover birds who can never be tired of themselves irrespective of whatever the naysayers say. “Na only you I go turn to, I no go send like Tonto… Anything dem want, make dem, na them get their mouth make dem talk…” Come can be cum in some sense, if you critically listened, just like I did on Audiomack.

My Onyeoma is a pure wedding song. The mention of “My missing rib” connotes the desired partner that a man wants to settle with. The unique thing about his songs lyrics, is the way he tells a story and changes it into a song. In Onyeoma, he narrated how he met the beautiful girl when he went to ShopRite and met her shopping alone. He looks around if he could see her king on the throne, he discovered nobody was in the zone and he decided to take her phone number. The melody and live Guitar line is a plus.
Generally, all the songs are classic and dope. His decision to play a live guitar in the three tracks produced by NOJizzy and live sax in Benlow produced by him and Jaidy Pro, shows that he’s really ready for the new style taking over the industry. They are songs you can’t stop listening to, anytime any day. Download the songs below and join him with happy dance.😃
